According to Android Police, Google Pixel 3 will be powered by a completely new environment and won’t be running a customized version of Chrome OS with Android apps. The rumored OS will be a powerful software created by merging the best of Chrome’s desktop features intelligently combined with Android’s tablet-friendly interface, not the other way around. However, given the planned release, it is possible that this project will be terminated before the actual announcement. Specifications wise, Bison will be an extremely portable and thin device (10mm in thickness) sporting a 12.3” display. It is going to be possibly powered by either an Intel m3 or i5 Core processor with 32 or 128GB of storage and 8 or 16GB of RAM. This very well seems to suggest that there will be two models with varying price tags. Additionally, it will come with a fingerprint scanner, two USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack apparently, a wide array of sensors, stylus compatibility, quad-microphones, battery promised to last up to 10 hours, a backlit keyboard, and stereo speakers. Furthermore, it will feature a full-fledged glass trackpad which will, in fact, utilize haptic and force detection (similar to Apple’s MacBook) for devising additional ways to interact. As clear from the hardware, the Pixel 3 is not going to be a bargain and will be priced at around $799, planned to release in Q3 next year. Google, is essentially going all out with Bison but alike the Pixel Chromebook, this could be merely the perfect showcase of Andromeda’s features. Third-party hardware partners might come with more affordable products. As Android’s SVP tweeted, October 4th of this year is going to be one of the most substantial and remembered launches for Android’s future.
